2008 ALMS Plans

2008 ALMS Plans I am happy to announce my plans to return to ALMS in 2008. I have been helping Dave and Andrea Robertson test their Panoz GTLM this year and I actually drove in the Petit LeMans and Laguna Seca races with them. They have ordered a new Ford GT-R for 2008 which Kevin Doran is constructing and will be finished in December 2007. They have also acquired a street Ford GT which the folks at Dick Barbour Racing are building into a racecar as well. Dick Barbour's team will again maintain the cars in 2008, one being the racecar and the other being the test car. I have signed on with them to drive all the ALMS GT2 races in 2008. I can't wait for the cars to hit the track for testing. I am very grateful to the Robertson's and Dick Barbour Racing for the opportunity.

2007 Plans

I am very excited to announce that I will be driving for the Unitech Racing team again in 2007 for the 3rd year in a row. This year will be different though. I will be driving with Hal Prewitt in a brand new Nissan 350Z GT car built by Unitech and competing in the full Rolex GT season for the factory Nissan. Hal and I will also be driving the same Nissan 350Z that I raced last year in Grand AM Cup. We will be running approximately half of the Koni Challenge in 2007 in that Cup car.

We plan to test the cars in California and then bring them to Daytona for their first event, the 24 Hours of Daytona. I am happy that Nissan is making their way back into racing as a factory and having me as part of that effort.

Playboy will again be back as the primary sponsor of our car along with the sister cars that will have Tommy Constantine and Mike Borkowski at the wheel in their GT and Cup cars.

I want to thank Tommy for putting all of this together. He is a master at it. Jackson Stewart and his crew worked night and day to get the cars ready. I know how picky they are, they cars will be perfect. Thanks Jackson, Melinda, and all the gang.
